Swedish striker is reportedly set to leave Portugal this summer, with Manchester United and Arsenal the favourites to secure his signature.
Gyokeres has become one of the hottest strikers in Europe, having scored 43 goals in 43 games in all competitions in the 2024-25 season.
Gyokeres has been a stunning success at Sporting since joining from Championship side Coventry in a £20millon move in 2023.
His debut season at the Portuguese club saw the forward score 43 goals and provide 15 assists in 50 matches.
Gyokeres’ form in front of goal proved vital in Sporting securing the Portuguese title last season.
Gyokeres’ form has continued for Sporting so far this season, with 14 goals and four assists in their 14 matches to date.
The 26-year-old is contracted to Sporting until 2028, and has an £85m release clause. However, he has been linked with a move to the Premier League throughout the season,
and with his decision to stay in the January transfer window, the club are planning to reciprocate by selling him for less than his release clause this summer.
The Sun claim that Sporting are prepared to sell Jokeres for between £55m and £70m.
Jokeres is reportedly keen on a move to Arsenal over United, as he seeks regular Champions League football.
