is struggling with a knee injury which will require special treatment at Villa’s club. The injury has ruled Watkins
out of England’s games against Albania and Latvia, although he did come on as a substitute in Villa’s wins over Preston and Brighton, but it remains a matter of close monitoring. In

“He had a little bit of a soreness at the start of the season and it took him a while to recover, but he was still playing. It’s the same now,” said Unai.
“He’s been training alone with the physios during the international break to try and recover as quickly as possible. “He is now back on the pitch and feeling better, but we still have to look after him carefully,” he said.
“We have to try to get the best out of him, both when he is still slightly injured and when he is fully fit.”
