When looking back a month ago …this day was such a touching and big day of Viktors life…ending school ( The Children and Leisure programme), leaving his friends and the not knowing of what shall be of the future. But also a most happy day..so a lot of mixed feelings on the graduation day, for all of us …

It started with champagne breakfast and ended with party at Piteå Stadshotell…

Do love his choice of tie!

Running out with his friends with loud music playing and seeing all the family in front of them cheering…that must have been a great feeling…

Then the meeting with family … with signs made, often with pictures from childhood (we chose one from when he was 6 months and his early tennis love 😉), flowers, gifts and fun animals…

Viktor with his dad and grandad and aunt…

and of course a big big hug from me… this picture says it all…there were so much emotional feelings…so we cried a lot.

Here is a close up of the crocheted frog (one crazy animal) I made for Viktor…as an honour to his graduation. Why the frog? First reason…he has always been Prince Charming since day one…💗… second he has always loved green (he was obsessed with green when little, only played with green duplo, painted with only green pens, chose green clothes…you get it… and therefore the frog was cute! Since it was green. This was his green era…so of course he needed a green frog. 😉 Fifteen years or so ago I even made him a small frog/green quilt to remember all this.

Then there was the traditional tractor ride around the town… they had a blast!

And this class made something extra to be proud of…they gave their saved class fund to the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund…and for this they came in the newspapers, tv and and I think they also are nominated to becoming this years Piteå citizen.

“No more children should have to die in cancer, therefore we donate most of the class fund to The Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund” picture borrowed from @kasselskog

This is so great…what a lovely thing to do…💗

After all this excitement we went to Lars and had a family get together with food and gifts…

Uncle Viktor and Stella…

What a day Viktor…😊 and with this family ended the celebrations while Viktor continued his with the party and his friends…💗

June was a busy month sewing for me…with the secret sewing…still can’t show but it’s getting closer for reveal…

Binding time…

And this little cutie became 3 months…💗

Wow…I’m almost caught up…only a month behind…yay Stina!! Way to go! 💗💗💗

See you soon!

The big happening was of course Viktors prom and graduation…so a lot of preparations for both these events were done…

But also Stella time and making stuff for her… and snuggles and cuddles…

She’s growing so fast…for every time I see her…there has happened something new…

Best way to sleep is on Mummy…💗

Made a crocheted little mobile for her…love the cute little bumble bee … and those flowers I found from an abandoned project a few years back… knew they would come in handy some day… 😉

One who loves to snuggle is this “old” lady…oh how she loves her pillows … 💗 realised she’s about the same age as me… 😉 so “old” we are both of us..lol

Lilacs were in bloom pretty early and I enjoyed their smell while writing on my Pincushion pattern and the secret project… which reminds me…I need to finish the Happy Pincushion pattern… 😊

And Viktor…the last days of school…the prom and all the fuss we had with his suit…I’m so happy it turned out as he wanted…you see…they sold the suit, tie and everything he had put away while waiting for the right size of suit trousers to come ….HUH!

But the shop did a great job fixing everything, the boss flew the suit up from Stockholm, the tie came from elsewhere, the shirt they had in the right size…so it was a big big relief that he could dress up and look this handsome!

The prom were held at Piteå Havsbad a grey and not so warm evening, but oh how lovely they looked together…Viktor and Alva (his friend and tennis companion for many years)…

What a lovely day to remember … driving there in a sports car, walking the red carpet, dinner and dancing … and to be with friends.

Signing off with another chill mode… 😉

Back with graduation pics and other June happenings…

So..are you surprised…two posts with just a few days in between… 😉 … I am!

Have been sick all week in a cold that my dear son gave to me…but hope it will pass soon…so to amuse myself I have been going nuts on Instagram and it’s hopeless feed with posting new and old post at no chronological order… with that I just realised..I need to blog more… so here I am.

May (and April too) … ahh …those gorgeous months we had with wonderful summer temps and the melting snow … and to prove that..this is a picture of that much loved son …sunbathing in the middle of April…see no leaves on the trees 😊 and still snow on the rooftops…

The quilting was slow and with that said…I finished my quilt Happy Trees …the very very last days of April… so…I had to add a April label to my quilt. Ha…how stupid of me to think I was going to be finished in March… really silly.

You who read part one…knew we went to Arjeplog to catch the last snow to photograph the quilt…and of course a visit…

Happy dogs..especially Molly I think..here she could run free…Elsa and Maya were not that happy being run over by monster Molly… phew

It was a lovely day with my so much loved sun…and Petra took lots of great photos of my quilt.

I freehand quilted the arcs on this quilt…and I think it turned out much more beautiful than I had imagined… I wanted it to look like snow piles..and I think it does!

Did not put a binding on this one…I kind of have fallen in love with the airy look the face technique gives…I highly recommend to try it… there are several tutorials to search for on the internet.

My happy face of having a happy quilt finished…and one that I made from my own ideas from start to finish… have had lots of wishes to make this one as a pattern…maybe I will…but it will be a booklet…huh…since there are not one block alike and a gazillion of other pieces…maybe I’m crazy enough to give it a try.

Last snow and standing by the lake next to mum and dads place with one of the many mountains in the background that my brother happily climbs up and down with his family in the challenge Top of Arjeplog.

See you soon… it’s kind of a promise…😉
