September was Annikas month and she chose a block originally made by Little Miss Shabby
she just made the block bigger to suit this bee.
Ain’t this a lovely block…will be fun to see what she makes of all the blocks she will get!
For October we sewed geese to Belinda in Norway…
and for her block we used a tutorial made by Rose Smoke
I loved this block …
it’s a great block to show off those larger prints you have!
Might have to make up this one for myself…
Next month is Maricas blocks…
and hmm….maybe I will go and see if I can find some fabrics for them!!
If I pick with some fabrics..
Do you think my mojo comes back??

Ok ok… Large block measurements comes here!! 😉
Block size:
6 1/2 x 10 1/2″
This quilt can be sewn together like the mini plus friends quilt, you can find it here

You can sew the blocks together with different width of rectangles or with no rectangles, odd numbers of blocks, with sashings or no sashings … Just do it your own…
This is how I sewed mine together… With 4 1/2 x 10 1/2″ rectangles between, on second row …you will need to add larger rectangles to the outer sides (or one side) 5 1/2x 10 1/2″
Added a sashing under as well..wanted the blocks to float more.

Or with thinner rectangles like this…
Same width as in the plus blocks pieces …2 1/2 x 10 1/2″
Add wider rectangles to outer sides (or one side) on row two
4 1/2 x 10 1/2″

Good luck…
Questions…just ask!
You can read about the blocks I swapped with my friends here

At Rikstäckets yearly meeting last year my friends Marica and Louise
And I decided on a swap with blocks..
The plus block!

And haven't this been a fun swap or what …
Have enjoyed making them and receiving them…
We decided to sew four blocks each…representing the colours we wanted…
and then send to next in turn to sew …this way we always had some blocks to sew on!
This is how my first round looked like…
My blocks and my the blocks my friends did sew for me…
And I changed what I did sew from one colour to another…
or a dark or a light and sent away, depending on what I thought I needed for my quilt…
Here is a light round…
And here is a blue round…

And a pink and green …
I now have lost count on how many rounds we have sent and sewn…
we had so much fun we almost didn't want to stop..

And I even had a surprise mailing…
From Krista Hennebury, author of the book “Make it Take it”…
She sent these blocks as a thankyou for setting up a contact with Rikstäcket,
that led to that she is now one of the teachers at this years yearly meeting in Upplands Väsby…
Hope she will learn us Swedes to go more modern!!

Have now sewn the blocks together with a rectangle..
I so love the black blocks Marica did sew!!

And for the moment I have the top in two pieces..
Just waiting to be quilted!!
