The secret is now out…😍 Early this summer I got contacted by the Norwegian quilt magazine “Quiltemagasinet” if I would like to contribute to the magazine…and it made me very happy.

After being “away” read not being able to create for a lot of years this meant a lot to me since it’s what I want to do… to make patterns, maybe a book (a dream of mine] and to share what I love…patchwork my way.

And this Happy happening took me by surprise… Of course I hadn’t something ready…isn’t it always so…so the thinking cap had to come on…quick! And my newly happy-in-life-being-a-mormor came in handy…another little quilt came to life…made for Stella…and in those colours I tried earlier…with grey and black.

I thought of X and O’s …in Swedish it is “Puss och Kram” and how many x and o’s doesn’t I give Stella when I see her…so that was my inspiration to this quilt.Lots of fun improvised x and o blocks with a bit of “stinafied” applique…💗I really like the fun and free way to sew these…Took photos in Church town …again… I just love these old buildings 💗I will make a pattern in English later, when the magazine isn’t selling this copy, probably around new year. Meanwhile the magazine can be bought either on Norwegian or Swedish…it’s number 4/2018 Quiltemagasinet What is it with baby feet… 💗

Stella circa 3 1/2 months at this picture, modelling on her new quilt…had real trouble keeping her eyes open..it was soooooo light outside…😜

And a label from mormor to Stella…made June 2018…I really like having the label at the front! But to be sure … I have written on the back as well…😜

And it wasn’t all..they made a lovely presentation of me in the magazine too…I felt happy after I’d read it…it felt like I’m on the mend …and that is happiness.

Sorry it’s on Swedish…wish you all could be able to read it…💗

So..that was my secret…nothing more exciting than a quilt…but for me it was though…and a quilt isn’t that exciting enough 😜… see you lovelies.

What a summer we have had…it beats everything…it’s like being abroad…on a vacation by the Mediterranean Sea! Can’t even remember having had temps below 20 C (actually 25C)…and this is VERY VERY unusual… can’t complain on not having enough sun this summer 😜

But first…had one more cute little finish I quite quickly made to my surprise! Got this Toy Ball 2 Trio pattern by Lina’s Patchwork from Shirley.

Stella is now gripping for things so I made a little gift for her on her 4 months day.

Scraps I have lots, so it was an easy pick for Stella that loves orange (right now 😍)

Hand sewing …how I have missed you! It was so much fun…and having my sweetest companion close as usual..I sewed these little pieces together quickly!

Voila! A little little CUTE ball!! I’m quite proud of myself..actually 😜

Stella 4 months…already…and when writing this…she’s on to her 5 month…it’s crazy how quick time flies!Summer..yes…how I have enjoyed my balcony life…these are som pics from Instagram showing our incredible summer and some sweet memories.

Reading, both day and night (thanks to our light nights), the warm days and warm nights (can’t remember sitting outside so late and not freeze), crochet and sweet family times with game night playing outside and cuddling with Stella. Just incredible! I have enjoyed it, know there are downsides with all the fires and other horrible things happening. But in my little space on earth ..it have been good. Even headaches have been away!

Lavender and Geraniums…💗💗💗 …happiness!

And this little cutie! Even more happiness…💗I even had myself a glass of wine this summer! Was ages ago! So cheerio…

see you soon!

When looking back a month ago …this day was such a touching and big day of Viktors life…ending school ( The Children and Leisure programme), leaving his friends and the not knowing of what shall be of the future. But also a most happy day..so a lot of mixed feelings on the graduation day, for all of us …

It started with champagne breakfast and ended with party at Piteå Stadshotell…

Do love his choice of tie!

Running out with his friends with loud music playing and seeing all the family in front of them cheering…that must have been a great feeling…

Then the meeting with family … with signs made, often with pictures from childhood (we chose one from when he was 6 months and his early tennis love 😉), flowers, gifts and fun animals…

Viktor with his dad and grandad and aunt…

and of course a big big hug from me… this picture says it all…there were so much emotional feelings…so we cried a lot.

Here is a close up of the crocheted frog (one crazy animal) I made for Viktor…as an honour to his graduation. Why the frog? First reason…he has always been Prince Charming since day one…💗… second he has always loved green (he was obsessed with green when little, only played with green duplo, painted with only green pens, chose green clothes…you get it… and therefore the frog was cute! Since it was green. This was his green era…so of course he needed a green frog. 😉 Fifteen years or so ago I even made him a small frog/green quilt to remember all this.

Then there was the traditional tractor ride around the town… they had a blast!

And this class made something extra to be proud of…they gave their saved class fund to the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund…and for this they came in the newspapers, tv and and I think they also are nominated to becoming this years Piteå citizen.

“No more children should have to die in cancer, therefore we donate most of the class fund to The Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund” picture borrowed from @kasselskog

This is so great…what a lovely thing to do…💗

After all this excitement we went to Lars and had a family get together with food and gifts…

Uncle Viktor and Stella…

What a day Viktor…😊 and with this family ended the celebrations while Viktor continued his with the party and his friends…💗

June was a busy month sewing for me…with the secret sewing…still can’t show but it’s getting closer for reveal…

Binding time…

And this little cutie became 3 months…💗

Wow…I’m almost caught up…only a month behind…yay Stina!! Way to go! 💗💗💗

See you soon!
