Even if I have been back in Sweden since the beginning of August, I still haven't left USA in my thoughts…have had a really wonderful time… :)

Since I came home I have been busy busy… Didn't even have time to think of the jet lag …
first up visitors from France…cousins on visit… It was fun even if it was too short!!

Molly dressed up …in Viktors OLD handmade pearl necklaces…Too cute..:0)

Helping Petra and Jimmy in their new apartment with putting up wallpaper

Love Jimmys monster shoes... :)

A whole day at IKEA…shopping…Petra and Jimmy for their apartment… Viktor for his room…that finally were going to be upgraded from child room to teenage room!!

Viktors room BEFORE!!!

So putting up wallpaper in Viktors room…painting… sewing new curtains…Fun fun…and then seeing the final result and having a happy teenager… That is reward enough!!!

Thanks Jimmy for supervising the assembly!!

In all this I started Garden Rehab … Part two…

With all what that means…
But everything have been OK…been tired… Feels just that I haven't landed yet… 😉

Decided that I really NEED to do something about my sewing!!
So the first part was to REALLY declutter the sewing room…the room really needed some help…
Because of all the painting and redoing of first the downstairs…and Viktors room…in some kind of strange way things just have been carried upstairs and left there…and yes I do have my sewing room there… 😉

So I started this… when Petra and Jimmy left for vacation in Turkey….and that is what I have been doing for almost two and a half week!!! GOSH! I am throwing away my old life…at least it feels like that… :)
A lot of stuff have been taken to REPRIS ( the recycle store) and a lot have been driven to the dump!!

Don't know when I will be finished…it's going so SLOW… Have come to the fabrics…sigh…

So I have been thinking… I might sell some of it…maybe put up an FOR SALE page on the blog…
This one will probably be only in Swedish… Well I don't know… :)
I don't know if anyone will be interested… But better if it comes to use and since I have changed style from Country to more brights..I will probably not use them for a long time!

So this is what I am doing today… ( and some more days…hopefully!!)
DECLUTTERING!!

This is the quilt (plus 4 blankets) that kept me nice and warm at nights… Marilyn is the quilter…just look at the lovely quilting… And it felt very nice lying under a Swedish coloured quilt!! :)

Marilyn Marilyn….you sure did spoil us…. This mornings breakfast was American Waffles…with blueberries and sweet melon… Wonderful wonderful…did I say I do love breakfasts!!! 😉

Really cold and damp this day…had to borrow clothes… Brrr!
And what about the view….nah….didn't see it today either!!

Cable car ride today… Oh my gosh….we had to stand in line for ever…think we stood in line for more than an hour… We girls even sneaked in at the Gap and shopped…ha ha…
And with our luck..one of the cable cars did broke and had to be towed away to Aidan's excitement…so it took a while before we could cram ourselves in and start our way uphills…

It was fun….it really was…
sorry you just don't see so much because of all the people…
I should have hanged outside the cable car instead…lol

Lunchtime when we got to the end line …tried Irish Coffee at Buena Vista…and it was actually good …didn't think so because I don't like coffee…;) had a really really tasty BLT sandwich
the best so far… :)

After this we went to Hyde st Pier… Had to have a look at Alcatraz and to see if I could spot the Golden Gate again… And I did …kind of… :)

On the way home we queued by car to drive down Lombard Street…so I did some California hiking…riding the car , rolling down the window…taking photos… 😉

A full day today already… San Francisco is a strange city with all those streets going either up and down…and then I mean up or down… I wouldn't for my life want to drive and park the car there!!!

And the day wasn't over…
A quick stop by Corinna and James place to see their house…
and I got to see another great quilt made by Marilyn
…very B E A U T I F U L
love how it looked like a starry starry night…..

and then… for the first time …EVER… I was going to see a baseball match
San Francisco Giants vs Chicago Cubs
And how fun wasn't that…totally “unswedish”… Great entertainment…the noise and excitement… and the snacks..and …42 000 people cheering…that is how many people who lives in my nearest town PiteÃ¥ with all the surrounding small villages!! 😉

How did it go then… Ahhh…. The Giants lost… With 0-1…
But please don't ask me about ANY rules….lol..

Left Las Vegas in the morning and was on the road again…leaving the desert for what John called “the cookie hills” and California's agriculture land…

Driving through Wasco where they had large rose plantations that smelled fantastic ..mmmmm…we decided to stop for lunch at La Cabanita for some real Mexican food…
and that we got…yummy!!

I had stuffed green pepper with cheese and enchilada…lovely…and John had an enormous burrito as you can see in the picture!!

Travelled through more plantations…almonds, peaches, melon…and COWS!! Oh my goodness…there were cows in thousands!!! Ok everything is big in America even the number of cows at a farm!!! PHEEW!

Closing in to San Francisco I started to keep my eyes on road signs just to be able to take a photo for Viktor… His favourite hockey team is the one and only San Jose Sharks…so of course I wanted to tease him a little and show him the road sign…and when driving …can you believe me what song came on the radio???
“The Way To San Jose” with Dionne Warwick…. Coincidence or what!?? :)

Got to San Francisco at evening…saw a little sunshine on that city…after that we drove up to Grassmans and into the fog!

They were supposed to have a wonderful view from their living room window…but hey…I couldn't see it!!!
Too bad that San Francisco didn't show it's best when we visited…

But I got to see lots anyway!!

First morning Marilyn started to spoil us rotten…
How about “French Toast” with fruit and Boysenberry Syrup … ( ahh…wish I could find that in Sweden! )
Double Yummy!! Mmmmm!

The view ...some fog...departure and what I saw of the Golden Gate Bridge!

After that a day at Muir Woods and THE Red Wood trees..

Corinna, me, Owen, John, Aidan , Marilyn and Curt

A M A Z I N G! ! !

They are HUGE!

This was a fantastic day… Something to really remember …love trees!
