Today it’s the last day of 2016…will end that with the knowledge I can do a lot. Have stitched my bumps…and will continue on this Road to Recovery…more bumps will come ahead…but for now the uphill struggle is more of a challenge than a Mount Everest…and for that I’m grateful…❤️️

For me…I’m going to start fresh and let it be time to dream big…❤️️ …and a word that will follow me will be confidence!

It’s time to believe in myself and my powers…☺️ bring on the new year…2017…❤️️

After a loooooong time of no sewing …I got inspired by my friend Krista Hennebury’s pattern Round Peg, Square Hole…I immediately saw it in my loved low volume fabrics…when seeing the pattern… ❤️…I knew I had to make it!

Krista’s pattern have a colouring page included in the pattern so it was a lot of fun colouring up my choice of colours, it saved me time … and a lot of testing with different layouts on the design board.

It was so MUCH fun…I was so focused…sew, sew just another round, had to see how it looked…

When blocks came up on the design wall I realised that lately all I have sewn with is BLUE … ?

Found a piece of fabric where it said SWEDEN… had to include that one ☺️

Do love a pretty back of a quilt…

Low volumes makes my heart sing ❤️️

I like the freshness with the blue fabrics and the light background…

Added grey strips on the outer strips to get the round shape to come forward! How I love this pattern… very FUN to sew!

Have not thought of how to quilt it yet…will be the worry for 2017… ?

Sewing spaced looked like a mess after all that sewing, to tell the truth I didn’t even clear the space up as I use to do before I start a new project ( I was very eager to start) …so boxes of green scraps and other scraps was still on the sewing table…lol… guess it’s like they say the work desk and it will tell how your head is… ? and yepp… it’s true…but I can live with that ❤️

How about you…can you throw them away? I can NOT..not even the tiniest of scraps…so I’m saving them…for special projects…lol…

When I sewed on Annika’s Broken Star blocks there were a lot of corner cut offs. I sewed them together into half square triangles while sewing the block…that makes the work a little bit more fun…and it’s better to have them sewed together to a block rather than lying around somewhere…❤️

This time the scraps became the sweetest little pincushion… and it was the perfect gift to my lovely friend Louise…pink and black… colours she likes.

I actually made another one for me…in a different pattern…which reminds me to finish it! Wonder where I put that one?

Kind of cute isn’t it? ❤️

So don’t throw your scraps away!! ❤️️
