I love walking around at Louise’s house…Where I find beauty everywhere…she has quilts all around the house… some of them new some of them good old favourites…

A basket quilt in happy Me and My sister fabrics…a Leanne House quilt in pretty pinks and greens …a pink star quilt and a dreamy shirt quilt in pinks and blues…

A quilt made by me made from a pattern by Cheri Saffiote Payne … I have a pink one at home made by Louise …that’s sisters love. We know what we like :)
Doll quilts rolled up for Olivia to use..or just to be pretty, a fun cat quilt and a Noah’s arc stitchery quilt from a pattern by Lynette Andersson and little mini spool blocks soon to be a quilt.

And I also got to see Louise’s finished Plus block quilt that Louise, Marica and I swapped blocks with each other two years ago..or maybe it’s even longer than that… which reminds me…I have my quilt to finish… 😉

It’s a masterpiece if I might say :) … love the variety in the blocks…and wow…all the friendship blocks shared :) …seeing a block made by a friend and remembering which ones we made…that’s something special. You can read about the swap over here and also a tutorial on how to make the blocks here

Sadly my visit came to an end but I’m so happy I made this trip it made me realise I can do things again even if it made me tired…it gave me freedom and happiness. Thankyou Louise for having me a whole week!! And John too 😉 … promise it won’t be four years until the next time!

See you… I now have some charged batteries! :)

to finally get my acts together and drive down to Östersund and visit Louise… all I can say is that I didn’t remember how far it was… 😉 phew… it took me 9 hours…

Have feared driving because of my headaches… now it was time to test myself and just do it! And I did it!! Yay to me!

Beautiful art by @parscaeli

Of course I got tense and got headaches but that was minor to my happiness of being with my beautiful friend Louise…

Had a lot to catch up on… sharing this and that under some quilts in her lovely garden watching her husband and son build on their new patio…

Found some quilts that I have made at the house… that’s happiness…

Love her warm cosy friendly home filled with lovely quilts everywhere… this one brought lovely memories from a trip we made to Trondheim and took a class with Gail Pan and Leanne Beasley… how fun wasn’t that! Isn’t it gorgeous!

A work in progress… some Splendid Sampler blocks added with added blocks of her own ..and it’s a pink burst of joy!

Ain’t this one just it… a typical Louise quilt in her pinks and blues with a splash of yellow!

We also managed some sewing the first days… in between catching up, rest and the busy life in the Short family with visitors, visiting and sleeping over grand children and Louise’s care of her parents… this family does everything with the heart and fills me with such peace and love

July Scandibee blocks made by both me and Louise for May Kristin in Norway (@krispquilt) ….Lots of Flying Geese in a lovely colour way in greys and aqua.

Thanks for being all this to me Louise…

More to come in another blogpost … see you!

Sorry for the delay…got interrupted by beautiful weather…and I needed to be out and enjoy the sun 😊

Stag Nation Quilt… happy to have this quilt delivered now…and with that I can share it too… I was so excited to deliver it I hadn’t time to get myself a quilt holder 😉 so the pics will have to do… but managed with a bit of creativity…

Early morning I set my goal to our little town square and took a few pics…

Like this picture…think the colours came out best here…

Bleeding hearts isn’t that a pretty flower? I do love the birds in the crown of the stag…

Found this little sitting bench in the shades… loved it… rustic but also pretty. Did try to hang the quilt in the lilacs too but was more sun there… so it was more challenging taking a good photo…

Happy I could stretch the quilt in the branches…had some hooks with me and the ever trusty safety pins 😉

And another close up …the beads do look good doesn’t they… :)

Background shining through a bit..but hey…that’s how it is and supposed to be…lol…

Decided to go back to another little park…the Daniel Solander park, yepp that Solander that sailed on the Endeavour and happens to be an ancient relative to me… a bit of history lesson 😉

The smell was heavenly at this park..the roses and the lilacs…had to sit in the sun for a wile just to enjoy!

Another close up…love the look of the sparkly crown …

And this pic will make me remember the lovely smell…and the gorgeous day I took photos in this beautiful little park. Flowers…they makes me happy!

Walked on to my daughters house…took pictures on the way…but none really turned out great…took its time so daughter called and ask where I was…ooops…hmmm… 😉 I was the one telling her to get up early…lol..because I was coming by… 😉

But I think I was forgiven when coming with a gift… 😉 it’s always such a happy feeling giving a quilt away and to see the happiness when giving … and she got really happy…she even did go out in the woods with me trying to get a good photo of the quilt… let’s say the photos became so so…we were in way too much hurry…and there were ants too… 😉

Here she is…Petra… and her quilt Stag Nation in pink …:)

Cant wait to see it hang in her makeup room on her sparkly wallpaper when everything will be finished in there…shall try and take picture of it then… wish me luck 😉

Happy summer to all of you…enjoy sunshine and rainbows … whatever that inspires you… be here and now and take care!

Over and out from me with a picture of my peaceful and wonderful balcony … one chair for Molly and one for me… 😉 Btw…do you see all the lovely flowers… they were a gift by the lovely couple Mr and Mrs Sherratt… happiness indeed!! So happy :)
