Sometimes, you just get blown away by generosity…and that’s exactly what has happened to me… I am truly blessed with fantastic friends both at home and out in the world. And I have said it before…Life is a Patchwork of Friends… ❤️ and among quilters it’s all that and way more.

What started with a picture sent from one of my American friends …ended up with the most wonderful gift given to me… and I’m so so happy…because I’m not that fond of making bags and things like this…makes my head knot itself!

So enjoy all these pictures!! ❤️❤️❤️

Isn’t this totally amazing… pretty pretty letters , made in my absolute favourite colours…and low volume goodness!

The letters are from a pattern by Diane Bohn and you can find it here… they are 3″tall. And paper pieced…☺️ not my favourite method…but my friend ensured me …that they aren’t that hard to make… do have the pattern myself ..maybe it’s time to start using it… 😉

A Sewing case!! And the prettiest ever! And it’s all mine! ❤️ Do you think I made a happy little dance? It was almost a rave-party…😜😉😜

And the clever inside… see through vinyl pockets… ❤️ and turquoise/blue gorgeousness…and filled with the cutest little basket block, wonder tape..so I could try and sew a case of my own using this clever tape…and cute labels!

What case…what case I hear you ask… 😉 and the case you can find for free HERE … isn’t that great!

And this is the fantastic outside of the case, with sewed little cute blocks… I’m so in love  😍

Beautiful little blocks…💙 geese and nine patch… and the pretty pretty low volume fabric ❤️️

And a little pink star and some strawberry cake ☺️…love strawberries…❤️️

And this text… ❤️️ love it… be your own hero..and be a good friend…unwrap it with a grateful heart…( do you think I did that❤️️)  couldn’t be better… ❤️️ so much thought put into this.

And if  the case wasn’t enough…these beautifully colour coordinated fabrics came..a mix from stash and bought fabrics… I’m stunned and almost without words…needed a week to put all this into words… and make this blogpost.

I now see that I missed to take a photo of a pattern, an apron/tunic/dress she sent along ..remembering I had it pinned on Pinterest..I’m impressed… thankyou so much for all this my sweet friend… My friend wants to be anonymous but I do think her stuff need to be shared so we can be inspired by her lovely work… I hope you have enjoyed looking at this…

And this is the pic she sent me that started this off… eight gorgeous and beautiful cases…lots of prettiness! Isn’t it amazing!! It’s WOW!

Thankyou dear friend for all this! 💗💙💗

I belong to a small but really cute group of creative ladies… we are only four…and this Christmas I decided that I wanted to give them a little gift … so I made us all mug mats to use when we enjoy our “fika time”…😉

Since I was sewing with only scraps at that time, I continued my mission to sew some of them up… found already cut 1” squares in my boxes and used up almost all of them…only needed to cut out some more from the yellow and green scrap bins. Looks like I have sewed less with those colours.

A tiny tiny heart made…

I first made the blue one …for The Lady Blue…💙

and then a pink one for The Lady Pink… 💖

and of course a yellow for The Lady Yellow…💛

And at last for The Lady Green..she needed one too 💚 ( and surprisingly this one is mine…not the pink one ☺️)

Scrappy backsides… 💖💙💛💚

And scrappy on the front… how I love scraps!!

It was very fun sewing these… think I need to make some more to have at home…❤️️

I’m so happy … I have a finish… a quilt… not big … but it’s a quilt! ❤️
Started this one intended to be a Christmas gift.. but had to focus on making new plans for Christmas…so it had to be put away… and now it’s a happy 2017 gift instead! ❤️️

I have always had a love for Cheri Saffiote Payne patterns…they are very fun to make and with a sense of humour … and best of all … not at all perfect! You can find her patterns here.
Made a revisit to my “old” Stina fabrics and made this version of “Embrace Each Day”.

Embrace Each day… it’s something we all need to do every day!

I webbed my pieces and machine appliquéd with a buttonhole stitch…

I used two strands of mouline yarn for the stitchery… ❤️️

Pardon the thread on the flower…😉 It felt a little bit strange sewing with this colour palette since it’s something I haven’t sewn with for a long time, but once deciding on my focus prints it all felt natural again… ☺️… and with the knowledge that the one I’m gifting it for would love it..it was a lot of fun… ❤️️…and I quite like it…☺️

Love the rectangle start instead of a square…

When deciding on the quilting I wanted to try something new out…just because… 😉  I wasn’t sure on how it would turn out but I like it..and will make some more with the same quilting…

I started at the bottom and worked my way around the quilt … I actually was surprised I didn’t got stuck in a corner or something …which I very likely could have ..😉

Do like the texture… a bit of traditional quilting and still not…and done by machine… ❤️

Photograph taken outside in -29 C … the winters first really cold day …Happy to have a quilt ready to be gifted to my lovely friend Åsa… ❤️ Happy 2017 ❤️
