Lovely days at the quilt show had to end….lots of quilts to look at…lovely fabrics to buy…
Found lots of Kaffe Fasset fabrics… This is me with one of the shop owner who had a nice selection of KF fabrics… Think we were there twice…lol

Walked home to the hotel…pretty satisfied with everything ( except for more brights then… 😉 )… And a perfect stop at Subway…to tired too look something else up!!!

Put up our feet…and just sighed and smiled!! More fabrics and lovely ones!! We already had decided to split most fabrics…and so the big cutting began!!

At the evening when John returned…we had packed and weighed our bags…and believe it or not I could have fitted another 5 kilos to my bag!!!

Had late dinner at a Diner called the Long Beach Cafe… And can't help smile when remembering Louise and John …. The look on Johns face says it all… Leave my food alone!!! :)

And one thing for sure…I won't miss the large portions …this time I got half of a chicken!!!! Oh my!!!

Back to the hotel…up early..and off to LA LAX…where chaos ruled…it was very unorganised and not much worked…but we got up in the air…seeing America again from the air…Chicago next…

In Chicago we really hit the prize…we got upgraded to business class…and it was LOVELY!!!

Our own tablets to watch movies, champagne , three course dinner….and the best… to be able to sleep comfortably ( even if it's hard to sleep..the rest was wonderful ) lovely breakfast in the morning…
The flight back home really made a difference!!

Long hours waiting in Helsinki…but managed to do some pink shopping… A Pink and turquoise raincoat 😉 …some just had to take a nap!!
Short fly over to Arlanda and Stockholm… ( another Marimekko pattern on the cup this time) Making calls home when getting there… More waiting for trains to take us home…John and Louise to Östersund …and for me the night train and later on bus home!!

Little sleep but oh so worth everything!!
What a fantastic trip I have had…
Louise and John..my sincerest THANKYOU to both of you… From my heart!!
And lots of thankyou to your friends Karin and Chris, Jack and Myra and The Grassman Family for welcoming me with such hospitality and warmth!!

This I will never ever forget!!

This day we went to Riverside to visit Johns sister Debbie and to see a little from their old hometown
It was fun to see…trying to imagine how it had looked when they lived there…their house had changed a lot since they moved.

Had lunch at Simple Simons… with Debbie and Andrew… And again we had a lovely sandwich… BLATT… :) think America is the King of Sandwiches…LOVE THEM!!!

Went to a shop near Simple Simons …Mrs Tiggy Winkles Gift Shoppe…. a really fun little shop filled with lots of fun things… Louise was amazed that the shop owner recognised her!!!

Couldn't resist this bag…so it had to come with me!!

Visited some friends of Louise and John that afternoon…even got to see a home of another quilter… Gayle Cloud…forgot to take photos … Bad blogger this girl…sorry!!! 😉

Back to Upland, Ontario we found a newly open quilt shop The Country Loft… A really lovely little shop…nice selection of bright fabrics… Not that many bolts…YET… but enough…. :) they just had been open for some weeks!!

Did we shop…. Yes we did….and this time we split our half yards in half….so we both got a pretty nice selection of brights… And Kaffe Fasset fabrics..so now I have started a new collection!!! 😉

At the evening we had a really calm, nice and fun evening at Karin and Chris…we barbecued (chicken and white sweet corn) at the front lawn and had the most delicious Margaritas… YUMMY… 😉 … But strong… Oh my… 😉

And that we got a confession of in the morning…. Karin hadn't realised the mix already had alcohol in it…so she added to that…lol…

We had a really lovely evening…warm and sweet…relaxed and fun with lovely company…and excitement with a police helicopter cycling over the neighbourhood …lots of times…so something wasn't quite right…but we didn't see or hear anything… :)

Thankyou…

A lovely , light and big quiltshop in Henderson were visited by us Swedes on our way to Las Vegas
Loved how they had fat quarters in little shelves on top of the yard fabrics….made the shopping a little bit easier….since I do love fat quarters….rather have 4 fabrics than a whole yard!!!

We shopped and shopped some more…and of course…Louise had found fabrics I just needed so I had to go looking for them! Lol….

John patiently waited for us at the desk…think he liked to chit chat with the ladies!!!

Took so many unsharp pictures at this shop….don't know why…excitement maybe… :)

Got a nice filled fabric bag with me home….

Super fun!!!

Next stop the hotel in Las Vegas!
