And hooray to me…
I have sewn!!! 4 blocks…
Can you believe how happy one can be over that…
it's like a miracle…because I had fun!!

Four blocks on my scrappy trip around the world
It wasn't easy…because I had to start all over again…
trying to remember where I had left off …and how had I thought…
And of course…in all my happiness of sewing…what did I do?
Sew wrong of course…so the seam ripper was my best friend!!

Well…anyway I have sewn that's the most important thing…
and then first of advent came in between…
so a little interruption in my little sewing had to be done…

This year I'm going for a WHITE CHRISTMAS
Yepp.. I bought a white tree… And what can I say… I love it!
It's like light therapy
So I'm smiling every day I light the tree and all the day along!!
( Lars said the tree had a disease of some kind…
hope he will love it as I and Viktor do!) :)

All the decorations are done…very little this year…for me… 😉
Something new and I feel good about it!

Now when all the decorations are up
hopefully I will get into sewing spirits again…
It sure would feel nice… :)

Hmmm.. Maybe I will bake some lussebullar today…. Think so… :)
See you!!

Ok …this is the quilt that
wasn’t supposed to be…:0)
I intended to make a nice and sweet quilt a la the ones I showed
you in the last posts…
BUT…
this little quilt wanted to be born!!
I said earlier that I wanted to make a gift for Shirley
and I showed her gift to me here
and this day I had a clear thought on what to make…
but I also had told myself to
“GO WITH THE FLOW”
so with that in mind I entered my sewing room…
looking for a nice pink fabric…
But…I stumbled on a pretty
turquoise – purple – green
flower fabric from my stash…
Grabbed that one…with a smile …
added a green – white – dotty fabric…
and started to sew…
Thoughts kept coming…
wonder if Shirley likes brights…hmmm….
Well…
I just kept on sewing…
and when I were going to add what was going to be in the middle…
Nope…the quilt told me….
You should add this instead…
little messages…from our shared days…
and so I did!
Out with my letter stamps and textile colour…
…I added words…
Ahhh…it’s so busy and crazy…
Shirley needs to wear sunglasses when looking at it…I thought!
So I mailed her and warned her…:0)
Brave as she is…she wouldn’t let me make something else!!!
So I kept adding my words and some fun little crocheted circles
that I had made earlier to mend my jeans…
they matched perfectly!
Mailing her again…and asked if she had changed her mind…
Nope…she hadn’t…:0)
So off it went to live in Great Britain …
Looking at the pics afterwords…
It doesn’t seem to be that bright and totally haphazard …and crazy…
Just a little..:0))
So that’s my story of a quilt
that wasn’t supposed to be
but insisted to BE!!!

Pattern from Chestnut Junction for this one too…
Love the reindeer on this one…:0)
Mostly fabrics from Holly Holderman
and I think the line is called Penelope
I had so much fun making these little two stitchery quilts
and today’s post for Marica…
Having some issues with my google+
and I am set as a no reply on most blogs…
I do know this…but it’s how google+ works to minimize spam
Will be back with this on a later post!
See you soon
