I have a finish… I have a finish:)
And a finish from
The Sew Along at Sew Can She
when I signed up…I didn’t put any pressure on me and just sewed along and had so much fun…
Think it was perfect just to go with the flow…picked a scrap here and there…
and added from my “new” stash when needed…
FUN all the way!!
And this I haven’t felt in years!! Wohoo to me!! :)
Washed the quilt
I do love when the quilt shrinks a little bit…makes it more alive…
And here it is…
my Scrap Happy quilt… 😉
This is the block that started all this…
A free block from the very talented
Have added and added to this one…
and I knew the log cabin blocks would be perfect to add to this one…
All I was worried over was if I could make them to blend in…
With not to much contrast…
Decided on a circular quilting
made it a little bit off centre in the appliqued block…
Think it turned out great!
Not even the tiniest little bit of scraps did go to waste…
Can you see the scrappy strip?
Louise… I smiled and thought of you when sewing them together! :)
Added my stamped Kviltstina label to one side of the quilt…
Now I have NEW quilt to hang ….
SMILE!!!
:) :) :)
See you
Have a new quilt in the making…
With leftovers… 😉

Oh my goodness….I sure wasn't prepared for the cold that came…having such a mild winter around zero…and suddenly hitting -32C (-25F)… Brrrrr….
It sure went through my bones!!!

Even Molly had trouble jumping on three legs sometimes….
But one thing for sure..when it's cold …it's pretty:)
Love the colours

In my sewing room sewing is done… I am acting!! :)

The Sew Along is in it's fourth week…and joining the blocks to something is this weeks assignment …
So I am fiddling along with my WIP… Maybe you remember the block I made from Cheri Saffiotes blog…way back in time… That one was my target … wanted to add to that one..and thought the log cabin blocks would be nice for that…
Still haven't decided on what to really make with everything…guess I will sew along!! :)

Secret sewing has also been on my to do list…and I am making progress…and can soon cross this from my list! Will show soon!!

See you…
remember… Keep warm!!! :)

HAH…I did it…well done to me!!!

I finally dragged myself upstairs and didn't just stand
and look at those flowers of mine!!!

I did sew them down!! Woohoo to me…
How can one be so happy just to sew a few seams…
well..so it is!!! I'm happy!!!

It was like starting over to sew again…
couldn't remember how to buttonhole stitch on my machine…
So first I had to find the manual…and then the right foot…
you can hear me sighing loudly…right…;0)

And then a little mumbling about this foot on the Janome…
how can something be this stupid…

You don't see where the stitches go…
So a question to you Janome owners…is there another foot…or maybe…
can it be manipulated…
to take away a bit of the plastic that is in the way in the centre ….????

Finally got it all..and managed to get them all nicely appliqued

For you wondering about the flowers
they are from the lovely Cheri Saffiote Payne blog
where she offers the flower and also instructions
to make a little Mother's Day gift…

Havent decided on how to proceed with the flowers…
Because I did print out the flowers in the wrong size
so I will have to tackle the pattern in another way…
So see you all…
