Never thought I would have this quilt finished so soon after receiving my blocks this January
from my new found friends in our Scandibee!!

Must have been inspired …and who wouldn’t when getting such lovely blocks!!!

Will in my next post give a little tutorial or how to make this quilt…

It’s an easy one…and I think it turned out pretty good!! :)

So prepare your self for loooots of photos…

because I LOVE THIS QUILT!! :)

The quilt followed me on my walk with Molly one sunny morning… Probably one of the last days this spring/winter you could walk on the hard snow crust without going through.
Love the binding…not black …not coloured but just with the perfect movement and colour…
Hung on a branch in the forest
Love all the different prints and the low volume gorgeousness … :)
Oops…. Don’t know how many times I hung this quilt on the bent down tree I found!
More cute prints from the other side…
And I think I found just the perfect backing for this one…
Birds and new leaves…as it should be on a happy spring quilt!
Backing…from IKEA:)
Out on the ice…open water in the middle of the river…with swans…
An old lopsided wooden bridge…
Molly doing a little peek a boo and starts to wonder when are you finished!!!
Yes..I love the binding!!!
Do you see the swans:)
They were trumpeting the whole time…and I do love the sound of it…
then I know it is SPRING!!!
This quilt was quilted with Aurifil thread 28/2 and in straight lines… Did use a larger top stitch needle 100/16 because of all the seams…and the thicker thread…it worked beautifully!
And no I didn’t mark anything…just sewed and let it happen the way it did…
I want to thank all my SCANDIBEE friends for their wonderful blocks
Without you all..this quilt never would have been this lovely!!
So thankyou
Annika, Ruth, Bella, Sigrun, Hanne, Anne, Nina M, Nina C, Marica, Synnøve and Lizzie!!!
Much love to you ALL!!! :)

Lizzies wonderful spiderwebs (February) and Ruth’s genius three coloured square block (March) and Sigruns Polaroid blocks for April… This is blocks that are made or in the making now…
See you…
